Well it’s better late than never right?
For a guy who is in the IT business, you wouldn’t expect him to have so much computer issues at home. My operating system hard drive decided that it didn’t like to be on for 365 days straight and blew up in my face. Thankfully I have all my photos saved on multiple backup drives. None the less I had to spend an exorbitant amount time just to get everything back up and running. Now on to my 2013 which was a year of change. My first full year together with Aurora and Ezekiel. It was an amazing time being a parent and seeing the kids running around however, it really took a toll on how much time I could really dedicate to photography. I wasn’t able to take on personal projects and traveling gigs as much. So I mainly focused on the wedding business and local jobs. Fortunately doing weddings is one of my favorite things to do so it wasn’t a bad deal at all.
For the 2013 Year in Review I posted some photos that been on the blog, some photo posted on Facebook, and photos that I plan on showing with their respective set. I just wanted to give you guys a feel of what my 2013 felt like through my photos. Enjoy!
Food. Cake. Jumper and repeat. That was Ezekiel’s first birthday celebration in a nutshell. Tina and I would like to thank everyone that was able to attend and celebrate this amazing day for the little fellow. Especially like to thank Jamie, my sister Trinh and Janice, and my mom who allowed us into their home and destroy it with sugar and children. Also a shout out to Ezekiel’s godmother Stephanie for coming all the way down from San Francisco and dealing with us all day. And of course none of this would happen without my amazing wife Tina who takes care of three children including the overweight and out of shape one that leaves the biggest mess.
Photos were taken by a plethora of people but mostly by Art, Stephanie, and I.
2012 is the year that my photography comes full circle. When I first picked up a DSLR the intention was to make memories of the family I was going to have. Two years ago I was blessed to have Aurora and this past October I am just as blessed to have Ezekiel. I never felt as if I was a pro photographer since I was really only shooting everything else to help improve my photography skills so that one day I can use it to photograph my kids. In this year in review post I am starting and ending with Ezekiel and Aurora with everything else I shoot in-between. This year I feel more than ever thankful for all the opportunities I have come across personally and professionally. For all the family and friends that have supported me through this year. I am thankful and no words can ever describe how much you guys have made me grown.
